Uzi Orion is currently the Chief Engineer at ELBIT SYSTEMS Electro-Optics - ELOP, a leading manufacturer of military Electro-optics equipment, located in Ness Ziona, Israel. Mr. Orion holds a B.Sc.EE degree (summa cum laude) from Ben Gurion University in Be'er-Sheva, Israel. Mr. Orion has a vast experience in many engineering fields, including video processing & communication for the Israeli Air Force, and development of advanced military communication instruments for Motorola Israel. He has held a variety of functions at ELOP, including Manager of Military Laser Department as well as the development of Fire Control Systems for Tanks, Avionic Displays, Space Cameras and other military electro-optics systems. Uzi Orion was the CTO of a company that developed non-contact measurement system to

machine tools manufacturers. He established a marketing desk to Eastern Europe, where he was one of the first to sell military equipment to this group of countries. Mr. Orion established, developed and managed various world class level technological professional groups, creating competitive superiority of his company's products in the world market. Mr. Orion is the President of the Israeli Society for Systems Engineers INCOSE_IL. During his presidency, Uzi works to incorporate many non-defense companies to this society, in order to learn from them other methods of systems engineering and to show them the vast experience of the defense development establishment. He is also active in the academia, developing postgraduate education programs for systems engineering. The Israeli Society for Systems Engineers INCOSE_IL is a very active organization. The society holds three active work-groups, brings the best tutorial lecturers to Israel, conducts periodical technical meetings, cooperates with the academia in researches in the field of systems engineering and organizes the national systems engineering conferences.
