Session 1.3 - Requirements, Costs, and Safety

Moderator: Dr. Kevin A. Kwiat, US Air Force Research Laboratory Rome, USA

Session Abstract

The first paper reports the results of a survey of IT professionals in various business sectors from around the world concerning their current practices in the reuse of software requirements in software product lines and in software maintenance. The second paper proposes and analyzes the efficiency of several protocols for allocating all subtasks of complex tasks to agents when the payments for tasks are predetermined and the total costs of all agents is bounded by a preset limit. The third paper describes process patterns for (1) documenting embedded system requirements and (2) capturing best practices that are implied by official safety standards.
